With detailed carvings that depict the divine scenes and an exquisite stonework finish, this Shankh is not only a sacred object used in rituals but also a stunning piece of decor for your home temple or living space.

Traditionally, the Shankh is blown during pujas and ceremonies to invoke auspiciousness and dispel negative energies. This Shankh, crafted by skilled artisans over several hours, embodies the sacredness of this ancient practice. The rich detailing and the use of traditional methods make it a true collector's item, bringing a piece of India's cultural heritage into your home.

Perfect as a gift for religious occasions or as an offering to the deity, this Shankh adds a touch of spirituality and elegance to any setting. Each piece is a unique work of art, reflecting the devotion and craftsmanship of the artisans from Uttar Pradesh, a region known for its GI-tagged brassware. (Note: this shankh cannot be blown)

Caring Instructions

Our brass and kansa items are designed to be a part of your daily life. With just a bit of care, they can retain their beauty and serve you for years. Here’s how to clean and maintain your Little Divinity products:

1. Utensils (Brass and Kansa)

  • Daily Cleaning: Wash your brass and kansa utensils as you would with any other dishes using mild dish soap and a soft sponge. Rinse well and pat dry immediately to prevent water stains.
  • Weekly Deep Clean: Once a week, use Pitambari or any other brass cleaning powder for a deeper shine.
    • How to Use: Wet the utensil and sprinkle a small amount of Pitambari powder on it.
    • Gently scrub using a soft sponge in circular motions.
    • Rinse thoroughly with warm water and dry immediately with a soft cloth.
  • Natural Polish: For extra shine, you can use a homemade mix of lemon juice and baking soda. Apply the paste, scrub gently, rinse, and dry well.

2. Idols with Antique Finish

  • Regular Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the surface and remove any dust.
  • Deep Clean: Occasionally, you can use a damp cloth to wipe the idol gently. Avoid harsh scrubbing.
  • Sun Drying & Oiling: After cleaning, place the idol under sunlight for an hour. This helps to naturally dry the item and brings out its shine.
  • Finishing Touch: Once dry, apply a small amount of coconut oil to the idol with a soft cloth. This not only enhances the shine but also protects the finish.

3. Idols with Colored Finish

  • Gentle Cleaning: Use a damp cloth to gently wipe the surface without scrubbing.
  • Drying: After wiping, let the idol dry naturally under a fan or in sunlight. Avoid direct contact with water to preserve the colored finish.

4. Idols Without Polish (Raw Brass)

  • Regular Cleaning: For a quick shine, use a soft, dry cloth to buff the idol.
  • Deep Shine: Occasionally, you can use brass cleaning powders like Pitambari. Follow these steps:
    • Wet the idol and apply a small amount of the cleaning powder.
    • Gently scrub with a soft sponge and rinse thoroughly.
    • Dry immediately to avoid any watermarks.
  • Natural Shine: You can also use a paste of lemon juice and baking soda. Apply gently, rinse off, and dry well.
